Retail and e-commerce
Kokonano Online Shopping Platform
A Kuwait-based online shopping platform built from scratch for original products, attractive pricing, secure online payments, cash on delivery, and customer service.
Services involved

Challenge
Kokonano needed a full e-commerce system that could support a broad product catalog across categories such as electronics, perfumes, watches, appliances, toys, outdoor products, and musical instruments. The experience had to make browsing and search easy for visitors in Kuwait while supporting safe online payments, cash on delivery, multilingual shopping needs, product promotions, and day-to-day store operations.
Solution
CloudGoUp developed the project from scratch using OpenCart 3, PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap, and jQuery. The build focused on a practical storefront structure with visible category navigation, search, promotional banners, product grids, checkout support, payment options, customer service touchpoints, and an admin-friendly commerce backend for managing catalog content, pricing, campaigns, and orders.
Outcomes
- Launched a full online shopping platform for the Kuwait market
- Supported a wide catalog of original products across multiple shopping categories
- Integrated online payment and cash-on-delivery purchase options
- Created a maintainable OpenCart commerce foundation for product, campaign, and order management
Features planned
- Multi-category product catalog
- Homepage promotional banners
- Search and category navigation
- Secure online payment support
- Cash on delivery option
- Customer service and delivery messaging
Implementation approach
CloudGoUp treats each case study as a connected system rather than an isolated interface. The planning work covers user journeys, content structure, technical architecture, measurement, performance, and operational handoff so the project can support future growth instead of becoming difficult to maintain after launch.
The same approach can be adapted for new builds, redesigns, audits, migrations, analytics improvements, and staged roadmaps where the business needs progress without losing control of quality or scope.
Conversion path
Product discovery, category flow, product detail clarity, trust signals, cart behavior, and checkout friction need to be reviewed as one journey.
Measurement
GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, Meta CAPI, product events, lead events, and checkout events should be aligned before campaigns scale.
Operations
Catalog updates, promotions, admin ownership, inventory constraints, shipping, payment, and support workflows shape the technical plan.
Planning questions
What this kind of project needs before implementation
- Which product, category, cart, checkout, and lead events are needed for reliable reporting?
- Where do mobile shoppers lose confidence or slow down before conversion?
- What content and catalog workflows should the admin team manage without developer help?
- Which platform limitations should be improved now and which should become part of a future roadmap?
